Pleasantly furnished, this cosy accommodation offers peace and tranquillity and is within easy walking distance from a 3,000 m2 wooded area which in the summer provides a welcome escape from the hot sun.

Description

Furnished in a simple, but comfortable way, Trullo Messapico offers travellers the possibility to rent a piece of Puglian history. Initially designed to avoid usurious levels of land tax, the Trulli were designed with one keystone over the main doorway. Should a tax inspector come, the simple removal of the keystone would cause the whole structure to collapse and therefore no tax could be levied.

Set in pretty gardens with an abundance of vines and fruit trees (cherry, peach, apricot, plum, fig and pear), guests are able to enjoy the freshness of the interior or enjoy alfresco dining or relaxing under the pergola made of slit bamboo. There is a large BBQ to ensure maximum enjoyment of this area.

The trullo is situated just off the picturesque road between Ostuni and Ceglie Messapica and is easily accessible via a long private driveway.

Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros):

• Cleaning fees are included in the weekly rental;
• One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €6.00 per change per person;
• Late arrival fees. We will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
• Telephone not available;
• Electricity included;
• The house is not equipped with heating.

• The trullo is not equipped with a swimming pool;
  
• Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
• Boats and bikes hire, food hampers, cooking and many other services mentioned on our booking form can be pre-arranged and prices will be provided on application.
