Villa Amalfitana is a spectacular property located on the Amalfi drive, at only 3 Kms from the centre of Amalfi, immersed in a vegetation of pine trees and olive groves. The villa, extensively refurbished in 2008 boasts marvellous terraced gardens on three levels, all beautifully paved and furnished, vibrant with the colours of bougainvillea pergolas and geraniums overflowing from large terracotta pots.

DescriptionThe villa itself is built on two levels, connected internally by staircases and externally by gentle slopes alternating to wide stepped stairways. The middle terrace is the heart of the house, with a wide pergola and outdoor grill hosting memorable al fresco dinners and drinks. From this area, 15 steps lead down to a further terrace furnished with garden seats and swings; to add to the romance of the place, a marble fountain surrounded by palms and splendid views over the blue sea. Eighteen more steps take down to the third and lower level which hosts the swimming pool; here will be found 2 outdoor showers, more seating and tables for 12 and, again, uninterrupted views over the coast and the sea.
PositionVilla Amalfitana is located along the coastal road about 3 km from the centre of Amalfi. Two good restaurants, which offer a food delivery service to the villa, are situated about 300 m away. A communal staircase approximately 400 steps from the villa, leads down to the Santa Croce public beach, located directly below the villa. The Santa Croce beach has 2 restaurants, as well as umbrellas and lounge chairs for hire. Distances: - All essentials ( bars, shops, banks, and post office) are situated in Amalfi town centre.

- Ferries and hydrofoil run daily from Amalfi to Capri (1_ h.), Positano (20 min.), Ischia (2_ h) and Salerno (1 h.). The services operate only during the summer months.

Refundable security depositA refundable security deposit of € 1500.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. Price includes: - Maid service each day for 6 hours and final cleaning

- Late arrival fees – we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
- Telephone - yes, €0.30 per unit;
- Electricity - 200kw included. Extra at €0.42 per kw;
- Heating (per week if required) - according to use of gas or electricity (metered).

- Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;

Positano is one of the most elegant and well known villages on the Amalfi coast. It is located in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Amalfi Coast, and the valley opens up to an equally magnificent stretch of coastline.
