Villa Arienzo is an elegant and sophisticated period villa set out on two levels with beautiful sea views and a panoramic swimming pool in the prestigious location of Arienzo, about 1.5 km from the town centre of Positano.

Each of the four bedrooms has a dedicated bathroom and there are wonderful living spaces including several covered and panoramic terraces with views over the sea and Positano.

Description

The setting of Villa Arienzo is very exclusive: within a cluster of villas on the edge of town and enjoying total privacy, peace and splendid views across the bay of Positano and towards the point of the Sorrento Peninsula.

From the main coastal road, a winding staircase of 90 (wide) steps leads down to the top level of the villa through a terraced garden adorned with flowering potted plants, trees and sculptures. A further 40 steps lead down to the main entrance into the terrace on the lower floor.

Furnished with lounges and a covered dining area and enjoying wonderful sea views, the terrace is undoubtedly the living centre of the house, providing comfortable and pleasant outdoor living. A beautiful swimming pool of 10x5 meters and semi shaded pergola occupies the far corner of the terrace overlooking the sea .

Originally dating back to the 1300’s but renovated over the years, the interiors feature ample and airy rooms with high vaulted ceilings, furnished with antiques, interesting objects d’art and bronze sculptures that provide a serene and sophisticated ambiance. With central heating and log fireplaces, Villa Arienzo is suitable for occupation at any time of year.

The main terrace opens into a double living and dining room with a well equipped kitchen (double oven, dishwasher, 2nd fridge, bbq grill) off to one side. There is a twin bedroom with library and bathroom with tub, whilst from the terrace there is access to a further double bedroom with en-suite bathroom. There is also a bathroom with shower for the pool users.

Upstairs are 2 double bedrooms with marble bathrooms (tubs and showers) and opening onto a covered and furnished terrace with beautiful views.

The public beach (rather crowded in July and August) is a pebbly beach and is accessible 120 steps down from the front entrance.

Privileged position in the most exclusive area of Positano, away from the crowds, yet close enough for an evening stroll.The property is located approx 130 steps below the main road.

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of € 1000 is payable on arrival at the property, in cash (Euro) or double signed travellers' cheques. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.

Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
