Palazzo Lubrense Campania - Sorrento Peninsula - Massa Lubrense

Situated almost in the centre of the Sorrento Peninsula with views over the Bay of Naples and Isle of Capri, Palazzo Lubrense is a luxurious residence with pool in the centre of the small hamlet of Schizzano. The hamlet is well connected with the surrounding villages via an extensive network of ancient walking paths and has several restaurants, cafe’s and a minimarket.

Description

The palazzo is a U-shaped building on three floors, opening onto a large central courtyard with a solarium and private pool. A large dining room with side lounge room open onto the courtyard and there is a shaded area for alfresco dining and enjoying the sun. Overlooking the courtyard, several well furnished terraces provide further solarium and relaxation areas for guests.

The residence was home to one of the founding families of the area and dates back to the 17th century. The entrance portico bears the original frescoes and throughout are vaulted ceilings, original sandstone staircases and panoramic views over the Bay of Naples and Capri.

On the first and second floors around two sides of the courtyard are seven bedrooms, each with rich mosaic en-suite bathrooms and decorated in different colour schemes featuring Roche Bobois furnishings. The rooms, accommodate a total of fifteen people and each have satellite TV, safes, mini-bars, internet connection and air conditioning.

For catering purposes the villa is equipped with a full professional kitchen and stocked bar (pay on consumption). A local cook is available to prepare meals at a moderate cost if required.

Location

The village of Schizzano is situated between the villages of Massalubrense (3.5km) and Sant’Agata (4.8km). A small road leads into the village piazza and Palazzo Lubrense is 50m from the central piazza. There is ample car parking in parking area beside the palazzo.

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of €500 is payable on arrival at the villa. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.

Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros):

• Final cleaning costs are included in the villa rental amount. Also included is 3 hours of maid service daily and a mid week change of linen and towels.
• Additional linen changes can be requested and will be charged at €12.00 per change per person;
• Utilities costs (except heating) are included in the villa rental price;
• Heating (if required) is an additional cost based on the consumption of gas at a cost of €4.50 per m3;
• Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;

• The season for pool opening is - May to October ;
• Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;

Situated approximately 14 km from Sorrento, the Nerano locality is a primarily agricultural/fishing community which in bygone centuries had little to do with its neighbouring areas. Blessed by a pleasant climate, wonderful outlook and steep sun drenched descent towards the sea it was the enclave of a small number of families who handed down their interests from generation to generation.
