Villa Caprile is a substantial property located approximately 7 kilometres from Massa Lubrense near Sant'Agata on the Sorrento Peninsula. Its elevated position provides magnificent views over the surrounding country side and the small villages of the Peninsula. Further away, the isle of Capri rises out of the Gulf of Naples and views take in the other islands of Ischia and Procida.

DescriptionThe property, once a farmhouse, has been renovated to high standards and provides the perfect location for a peaceful holiday. Extensive gardens comprising olive and lemon groves have been transformed into patios and porticoes, facing the swimming pool with Roman steps. The large kitchen, with barbecue and pizza oven, opens onto an ample covered patio, set up for gatherings and al fresco breakfasts and meals. The inside dining area is also very spacious and can host comfortably large parties. The interiors feature warm cotto floorings, with walls either white washed or decorated in pastel tones; all bathrooms are tiled with fine ceramics and equipped with quality fittings. Windows are double glazed and have shutters, ensuring insulation and shade.
The bedrooms, all air conditioned, are furnished with rustic style furniture and fitted with pretty hand painted ceramic lamps, made by a local artisan.

This locality
Sant'Agata sui due Golfi enjoys an enviable position on a hill between the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno. It is the largest village in the Sorrento Peninsula and boasts a few Michelin starred restaurants (Don Alfonso - Taverna del Capitano) and many other fine restaurants and trattorias in the vicinity. Being half way between Sorrento and Positano, it is a very convenient base from which to explore both the Amalfi and Sorrento Coasts.> more

Refundable security deposit A refundable security deposit of €1,000.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. Included in the rental price: - Maid service twice weekly

- Change of linen midweek
- Italian breakfast each day served in the pergola
- The services of a cook from 8pm to 10:30pm daily

Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros): - Additional changes of linen can be requested and will be charged at €10.00 per change per person;
- Electricity is charged on consumption (metered) at €0.30 per kilowatt;
- Telephone charged on the basis of pulses used
- Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
Other information - The season for pool opening is - 26 May to 30 September 2007;
- Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
- Boats and bikes hire, food hampers, cooking and many other services mentioned on our booking form can be pre-arranged and prices will be provided on application.

Nearby localities
As the road winds out along the coast road from Sorrento, one can tangibly feel that they are leaving the city way of life behind. Local farmers (contadini) with their three wheeled Ape Utes tend the olive plantations that string along the rocky hillsides and every now and again the bushes open up to the stretches of blue sea and sights of Capri and the other islands in the Bay of Naples.> more
Situated approximately 14 km from Sorrento, the Nerano locality is a primarily agricultural/fishing community which in bygone centuries had little to do with its neighbouring areas. Blessed by a pleasant climate, wonderful outlook and steep sun drenched descent towards the sea it was the enclave of a small number of families who handed down their interests from generation to generation. Even today it is possible to recognise a strong concentration of the family surnames.> more
