This villa of contemporary design stands in an elevated position overlooking the south western shore of the Lake Garda, between Desenzano and Salò, just above the picturesque town of San Felice del Benaco.

The area around Lake Garda enjoys a microclimate and landscape which is similar to the Mediterranean coast: rolling green hills, olive and palm trees, blue skies in contrast with snow capped mountains in the background.

Description

The Salo' Riviera is a magical place, where the Mediterranean environment meets with the Alpine world. Down in the village, the atmosphere is truly delightful: lovely stone buildings, narrow cobbled streets, the smell of grilled lake fish coming from trattorias and restaurants, lovely cafes and shops, and lush green gardens down to the border of the lake. Pebbly beaches with crystal clear water are to the right and the left of San Felice and paddle boat hire offers the possibility of excursions along the shores.

Villa Verde is located in an exclusive residential enclave of luxury private villas, characterised by large expanses of lawns, leafy streets and a nearby forest. Completely independent, Villa Verde is set in a large garden with a 10m x 6m pool (open from June to September) and has ample well furnished outdoor spaces for taking the sun, dining and relaxing. The villa is light and airy with most rooms having an outlook onto lush lawns and gardens.

Within the residential area is a sports centre including tennis court, a communal swimming pool and bocce field. At a few kilometres, a 9 hole, par 3 and two international standard golf courses are accessible. This is an ideal villa for groups wishing to enjoy a relaxing vacation in an area that offers many side activities.

The rental accommodation is situated within walking distance of the town of San Felice on the western shore of Lake Garda and approximately 2.5 klm from the lakeside.

Airports :
For those travelling from the UK, the nearest airport is at Montechiari, Brescia, currently served only by Ryanair (they call the airport Verona-Brescia) from London Stansted and various charter flights.
Only 40 minutes away is Verona's Villa Franca airport which is served by many major European airlines, including BA from Gatwick.
About one hour away is Milano-Bergamo airport which receives mostly low-cost and charter airlines. Ryanair flies to Bergamo (called Milano-Bergamo) from Stansted and Luton, and so do other low-cost airlines from various UK airports.
Milano-Malpensa is a discouraging four hours away whilst Milano-Linate is about 2 hours’ drive (Linate is also accessible by short bus ride to Milano Centrale and then train to Desenzano) and receives the major European carriers from Heathrow, including BMI, BA and Alitalia.
The Venice/Treviso airports are also about 2 hours away, however the traffic on surrounding roads can make them a prohibitive choice for drivers. Nonetheless,it is possible to catch a direct train to Desenzano station by train via Venezia Mestre.

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of €1000.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.

Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros):

• Final and midweek cleaning fees are included in the villa rental cost. Additional cleaning services can be requested at €18 per hour
• One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €15.00 per change per person;
• Late arrival fees. We will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (after 8pm) is € 50.00, or €100 after 10pm payable to the owner;
• Electricity is an extra charge at €0.45 per kw;
• Gas for cooking, water and heating is included in teh rental, however gas for heating is an additional cost of €330 per week.
• Internet useage is charged at €5 per day

• The season for pool opening is from the begining of June to the end of September;
• Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
• Boats and bikes hire, food hampers, cooking and many other services mentioned on our booking form can be pre-arranged and prices will be provided on application.

Desenzano

Lake Garda, whose waters are famed for their transparency, is the largest in Italy and was much loved by Virgil, Catullus and Goethe. The town of Desenzano is the largest and liveliest in the south of Lake Garda; its central picturesque piazza is situated on a cobbled pedestrian walk that winds its way around the contour of the lake, providing a wonderful opportunity to experience the daily passeggiata and inspiring views up the lake. Conveniently close to the main motorway and railway that connects Milan and Venice, it is a great base from which to explore the North of Italy. > more
