Lakes, Lake Garda, Sirmione

Thermal centre, strategic stronghold and beautiful old town are terms that best describe this unique peninsula that juts out more than a kilometre into Lake Garda. Serviced by ferries from all the major towns around the lake, it is a popular excursion and holiday destination.
The peninsula is only several hundreds of metres wide leading out to the bulbous headland that is joined by a draw bridge. The township has wonderful shopping and restaurants, whilst further out on the peninsula there are lovely parks, thermal baths, beaches and Villa Catullo, an old Roman villa that can be visited.
