Description

A long olive tree lined driveway leads through a wonderfully panoramic olive grove to Villa Virgiliana that was designed in the early 1900's in a similar style to D'Annunzio monumental Vittoriale. Today the property produces an award winning olive oil which is exported worldwide.

Villa Virgiliana stands to the side of the main villa and has been renovated to provide independent and luxury accommodation for six from its commanding position with uninterrupted views over Lake Garda. The villa is surrounded by lawns, fruit trees, bushes and fragrant rosemary and lavender hedges. At the front of the villa, a large private garden has been created on a terrace overlooking the lake with a saltwater infinity swimming pool, separate spa pool and landscaped gardens. Enjoying temperate breezes from the lake, it is a wonderful position for al fresco meals in most seasons.

The villa, spread on three levels, has an indoor health spa on the ground floor from which one can enjoy views over the lakes in all seasons from the Jacuzzi, relax on ergonomically designed lounges, take a sauna or enjoy the state of the art shower.

Upstairs the day area includes a magnificent and panoramic glass temperature controlled conservatory which opens out through French doors onto a paved terrace. Fitted with heating and air-conditioning for year round comfort it comprises a dining room and living room, whilst a little further back is a lounge area equipped with gas log fire, Sat LCD TV, DVD, Ipod dock and a very well equipped modern kitchen.

The three double bedrooms have generous en suite bathrooms, two with marble spa baths and the other with a cascading shower. As an example of the owner's desire to create a special experience, each room, and even the bathrooms are fitted with satellite LCD TVs. Please note that the bedrooms are not air-conditioned.

Villa Virgiliana is fully serviced including welcome pack, linen, towels, dressing gowns, heating, air-conditioning, local manager and, as extras on request, massage, outings, cook, booking service, boats etc. Close by is a golf course, boat hire, many trattorias, historical villas to visit and the lively towns of Maderno, Gardone and, Salò.

Please note that the adjacent villa is inhabited by a caretaker of the property and her husband who tends the gardens and the olive pants.

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of €1,000.00 is payable on arrival at the property. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.

General Information:

• Normal arrival times are between 15:30 (3:30pm) and 19:00 (7pm). Departure is by 9:30 on the day of departure.
• The pool is open year round, but is not heated;

Services included and extras:

• Final cleaning is included in the villa rental price. Also included is a midweek cleaning and change of linen and towels
• One set of bed and bath linen per week is included. Additional changes may be requested at the cost of €15 per person. Pool / health centre towels are provided;
• Additional maid service can be requested at a cost of € 18.00 per hour
• Telephone and ADSL are not available at the property
• All utilities including electricity, heating, air conditioning (only conservatory), water and gas are included in weekly rental.
• High chairs and cots are available at an additional cost of €50 per week
• Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
• Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
