Situated in open and hilly countryside at just 13 kilometres from Florence, La Limonera is the chic guest cottage of the nearby Villa Florentina, at 50 mts away. An avenue of cypresses and olives leads all the way to the villa, opening up to beautifully landscaped gardens, punctuated by lemon trees nestled in attractive terracotta vases.

In the immediate proximity are two old hamlets which can be reached on foot, and in both hamlets there is a restaurant; the closest town is Lastra a Signa, with all shopping facilities and frequent bus services to Florence.

Description

La Limonera has been completely and lovingly restored to make it a beautiful and comfortable home. Endless research has been done in choosing the best traditional materials: the living area features a beautiful exposed stone wall and original cotto tiles, while the bedrooms have warm parquetry floorings. The decor is impeccable, with antique pieces, Murano glass lampshades, lovely soft furnishings and comfortable beds dressed in beautiful Florentine linen.

The owners live in a seventeenth century villa at 100 metres distance from the house and are available for advice and assistance, if needed.

Guests have access to a swimming pool (6 by 12 metres, 1.2 to 1.9 metres deep) well hidden in the grounds of the villa. This pool is just 30 metres away, and is shared with guests of Villa Florentina.

La Limoniera is situated within the grounds of the large Villa Florentina (150 mt distant). It is accessible from an unmade road and lies 300 mt up the driveway.

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of € 500.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.

Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros):

• Final cleaning fees are included in rental price. Midweek cleaning or washing services can be requested and are charged locally at €12 per hour
• One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €6.00 per change per person;
• Late arrival fees. We will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
• Telephone use is charged at €0.21 per pulse;
• Electricity included;
• Heating (per week if required) - according to use of gas or electricity.

• The season for pool opening is from the end of May to the beginning of October;
• Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
• Boats and bikes hire, food hampers, cooking and many other services mentioned on our booking form can be pre-arranged and prices will be provided on application.
