Villa del Sole is located between the medieval hill towns of Recanati and Potenza Picena, at short distance from the sandy beaches of the Adriatic Coast. Recanati is a charming town with beautiful buildings, piazzas, elegant boutiques and gourmet shops offering products typical of the Marche region. Porto Recanati, on the coast, is a favourite beach holiday spot for Italians in the summer, especially in August and offers a long sandy beach and many seafood restaurants.

Description

Villa del Sole sits on a grassy hill and is surrounded by patchwork hills rolling gently to the sea and lovely shady trees. In the distance there are delightful views of the nearby hill town of Potenza Picena.

The villa is two storey with large living areas on the ground floor and bedrooms upstairs. The interiors are particularly attractive featuring stone walls and antique cotto floors lazily covered by rich woolen carpets. The furnishings, including prints, old wooden toys and a marble chess set reveal the owners’ interest in antiques.

The property sits on a 30,000 sqm block of land, with a garden of 5,000 sqm, and a vegetable patch with seasonal fruit and vegetables. The villa has several large covered areas ideally equipped for eating, snacking or relaxing in the shade during the summer time.

The large swimming pool with diving board is at the front of the house; between the driveway and next to the pool is an annexe, accommodating two people, completely independent from the main house.

Villa del Sole is located up a small local road approximately 5 Km from the seaside town of Porto Recanati.

The hilltop town of Potenza Picena, at only 1.5 Kms, is a delightful typical Italian village, with a couple of great eating places, bars, stone lined buildings and a lively panoramic promenade.

2013 prices are provisional and may be revised, however most owners will accept bookings at 2012 prices until the new prices are confirmed. Please send an enquiry and we'll respond with a firm quote.

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of € 800.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.

Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros):

• Mandatory cleaning fees: € 100.00 per week including final cleaning on Saturdays and on departure;
• One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €6.00 per change per person;
• Late arrival fees. We will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
• Electricity included;
• Heating (per week if required) - according to use of gas.
