Villa Rivalago is an independent villa located on the north-western shore of Lake Como. Being lakeside, it has uninterrupted views up and down the each shore and spacious outdoor areas equipped for outdoor dining or outdoor leisure. The villa, laid out over two floors of 300 sqm each has been recently renovated to high standards and is equipped with all facilities one would expect in such a property.

Description

Villa Rivalago is set in a privileged lakefront position at only 600 m. from the centre of the pretty village of Pianello. The villa is stylish and open providing breathtaking views over the lake and distant mountains. It features a huge panoramic terrace of 360 sqm, furnished with sun loungers and outdoor tables, an above the ground pool (mainly for the use of children), computer with internet access, fax and satellite TV for those who need to stay in touch, a full commercial kitchen, a number of lounge and dining rooms.

The seven bedrooms are situated on the first floor and comprise five double suites with ensuite bathrooms and two single bedrooms of which one is only accessible from the suite - ideal for small children. Two of the suites open onto a panoramic lakefront terrace. Included in the price of the accommodation are two to four hours of daily maid service, and a change of linen during the week.

A thick hedge (chest height) defines the limits of the property and a slightly sunken paved lakeside pedestrian path runs along the shore between the lake and the property. We note for your attention that this may limit the privacy on the terrace especially during July and August. On the other hand, the path provides a lovely meander down to the centre of Pianello, a traditional village where there are basic shopping facilities, cafes, tennis courts etc.

Villa Rivalago is on the northwestern shores of Lake Como approximately 10 km north of Menaggio. A small semi- private road leads down to the gates of the villa where there is ample parking for 4 or 5 cars.

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of € 1000.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.

Rental Includes:

• Bed, bath and kitchen linen with mid week change
• Heating in low season
  
• All utilities (except for gas heating out of low season, if required)
• Daily maid service for 2 to 4 hours (depending on the number of the guests) and final cleaning on departure.

Additional Services & Extras

• Heating (if required): metered - approx 1 Eur per litre
• Telephone / Internet: metered and charged at cost (approx 30 cts per unit)
• Please note that the internet connection is via dial up modem and not ADSL
• Baby bed if maximum capacity PAX is exceeded: EUR 150 per week.
  
• Pets allowed: Eur 60 per week per pet.
• Late arrival fees. We will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
  

• Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;

Varenna

Halfway down the eastern shore of the lake, right opposite the mouth of the Lecco branch, lies Varenna. Like a sentry standing at the crossroad of the lake, it was built on a rock promontory overshadowed by a steep mountain, at the top of which you can make out dark outline of an old ruined castle.> more
