Borgo Pianello is a picturesque hilltop village which has been lovingly restored to create a village of self catering apartments. The two lovely swimming pools have broad views over he Tuscan countryside and the small lanes within the Borgo have been embelished with shaded piazzas, well manicured gardens and convenient services.

DescriptionComprising 18 apartments and a B&B manor house with a further 8 bedrooms, Borgo Pianello is an ideal base for relaxing and exploring nearby Chianti, Siena, Arezzo and Florence. Larger than the normal structures we represent, we found that the Borgo has retained the sense of a village whilst providing a good level of services (restaurant, bar, poolside snackbar) and value. In the evenings, the shaded piazzas are alive with other families swapping stories about the days adventures, children meeting other children and those out to enjoy the balmy night air. The accommodation is in a simple rustic Tuscan styling, clean and with comfortable beds. It is comprised of one to three bedroom self catering apartments and each apartment has an outside table and chairs for al fresco dining.
Position Borgo Pianello is situated on a hill top near the town of Cavilia on the main road connecting Chianti and the Arezzo area. A paved local road leads up to the property which is convenient for the main motorway from Rome to Florence Distance Cavrillia - 5km

One bedroom apartments typically consist of a bedroom, bathroom and a lounge room with kitchen corner. Decorated in a comfortable country style, the apartments are clean with comfortable beds and a good range of kitchen utensils and cutlery.

Airconditioned and spacious, the two bedroom apartments of Borgo Pianella are all unique in their design and layout. Of the nine apartments of this type, two are superior (Anemone & Rosa), being larger, able to accommodate an additional two guests on divan-beds and having three bathrooms. The other apartments have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room with corner kitchen and have either a private garden or balcony. Prices shown are for the superior apartments.

Two of the three, three bedroom apartments are located in a separate villa surrounded by lawns and olive trees adjacent to the village and swimming pool areas. The third apartment resembles a small town house with a covered porch and private garden. All are well furnished in country Tuscan style and feature airconditioning, dishwashers and lovely views.

Special Notes for Borgo Pianello 2012 prices are provisional and may be revised, however most owners will accept bookings at 2011 prices until the new prices are confirmed. Please send an enquiry and we'll respond with a firm quote. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions in respect to additional charges and extras applicable to rental villas and apartment accommodation. Refundable security deposit A refundable security deposit of €150.00 is payable on arrival at the Borgo (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. Included in apartment rental - Water, gas and electricity

Additional services and charges payable locally (in Euros): - Mandatory cleaning fees of € 70.00 in one bedroom and €80.00 per week in other apartments.
- One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €15.00 per change per person;
- A change of towells is available at a cost of €15 for a set of three (s,m,l)
- Heating is available at a cost of €12 per day
- Small pets are allowed at an additional cost of €60 per week
- Additional beds can be rented at a cost of €55 per week
- Baby beds are available at a cost of €20 per week
- A towell for the swimming pool is available at a rent of €8.00
- Communal washing machines are available at a cost of €6 per wash
Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager; Other information - The season for pool opening is - 1 May to 15 October;
- Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
- Boats and bikes hire, food hampers, cooking and many other services mentioned on our booking form can be pre-arranged and prices will be provided on application.

Siena is one of the most beautiful towns of Tuscany and perhaps Italy. Surrounded by olive groves and the vineyards of Chianti the town is set on three hills and is mostly pedenstrian only. At the centre of the town is the large Piazza del Campo, noted for the Palio horse race held each July and August and full of activity year round. An important university town, Siena has wonderful outdoor cafes, piazzas, churches and museums.> more
