Originally a farmhouse owned by the Medici family, and dating back to the early fifteenth century, Villa Magnifica lies 20 km south-west of Florence, and 5 km from San Casciano, between Florence and Siena. Surrounded by well-kept and ample private garden space and with a 17 x 7 metre swimming pool, Villa Magnifica consists of two stone buildings from the 15th century. One of these has been beautifully restored with a careful eye to maintain the authenticity of typical Tuscan house and equipped with modern amenities.

DescriptionA magnificent furnished patio leads into the house, whose beautiful interiors feature wood-beamed ceilings, cotto floors and whitewashed walls. The other stone building was a barn and it is now empty, but the owner has plans to restore the interior at some time in the future. Villa Magnifica sits in a hilltop, looking over the surrounding vineyards and picturesque countryside of the Chianti Classico district, with the towns of San Quirico and San Pancrazio directly across, just over the Pesa river which flows nearby. The house itself is surrounded by 7 acres of fenced olive groves, part of an agricultural estate and is reached by a dead end white road, crossing through vineyards and typical of the Chianti region. In the near vicinity are the villages of Cerbaia and San Casciano, with plenty of good eating opportunities, many of which are a hybrid of bar/grocery/restaurant and village gossip spot, and producing the most delicious and best value meals you would hope to enjoy
PositionVilla Magnifica lies up an unmade quartz road, 5 klm from the town of San Casciano. It is a very private villa with outstanding views over the Chianti vinyards Distances: - San Casciano, a medievil town is at 5 kms (restaurants, bakery, a green grocery, butcher shop, a bank, Post Office, tourist office and supermarket).
- Florence: 20 Km . The Florence - Siena superstrada is within a 10 minute drive, making easy to reach both of these glorious cities. Alternatively, park the car in Cerbaia village, just 4 kms away, and in 30 minutes be in the centre of Florence by bus.

Chianti in the heart of Tuscany represents what most travellers consider to be the essence of Tuscany. An area of rolling hills, patchwork farms and lovely forests interrupted by authentic Italian villages, hilltop castles and delicious Chianti wines. Special Notes for Rental Villa Magnifica, Tuscany, Chianti, Italy2012 prices are provisional and may be revised, however most owners will accept bookings at 2011 prices until the new prices are confirmed. Please send an enquiry and we'll respond with a firm quote. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions in respect to additional charges and extras applicable to rental villas and apartment accommodation. Refundable security depositA refundable security deposit of € 500.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros):- Mandatory cleaning fees: € 230.00 per week including 0 hours of maid service 0 times, final cleaning on Saturdays and on departure;
- One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €6.00 per change per person;
- Late arrival fees. We will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
- Telephone - E0.23 per unit of useage;
- Electricity charged according to useage at E0.45 per kw;
- Heating (per week if required) - according to use of gas or electricity.

Siena is one of the most beautiful towns of Tuscany and perhaps Italy. Surrounded by olive groves and the vineyards of Chianti the town is set on three hills and is mostly pedenstrian only. At the centre of the town is the large Piazza del Campo, noted for the Palio horse race held each July and August and full of activity year round. An important university town, Siena has wonderful outdoor cafes, piazzas, churches and museums.> more
