Just a few kilometres from Greve in Chianti, Podere Capretti is an old farmhouse in a small hamlet that has been lovingly restored and converted into three delightful apartments, each with their own private garden and outdoor shaded eating area. The owners have sought to preserve the original rustic character of the farmhouse whilst incorporating modern comforts including central heating, internet, sat TV, multiple bathrooms and an inground swimming pool. The furniture is all of high quality respecting the original country styling and warm Tuscan colours and patterns of the era in which the house was built.

Description Podere Capretti is located in a small hamlet of 4 houses in the middle of the Chianti countryside. The old country farmhouse is made entirely from stone and stands amongst some well established trees which provide it with year round protection from the elements. The apartments are each accessible from private gardens which open out on three different sides of the original structure, providing a good sense of separation from each other. The property is extremely flexible and can be configured as three separate units or two of the apartments can be joined by opening internal doors into a large property for 14 guests with seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms. The swimming pool (15m x 6m), overlooking the countryside and surrounded by olive trees, is slightly removed from the apartments (300m) to limit any interruption to the peace of guests. The pool area is equipped with sun-lounges, chairs, tables and has its own dressing room and bathroom.

The two above apartments can interconnect to make a large property comprised of 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms with numerous and spacious facilities. One of the dining rooms can accommodate the whole group and interconnecting doors are both on the ground and first floors.

Special Notes for Podere Capretti, Italy 2012 prices are provisional and may be revised, however most owners will accept bookings at 2011 prices until the new prices are confirmed. Refundable security deposit A refundable security deposit of € 500 is payable on arrival at the property. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. General Information: Normal arrival times are between 15:30 (3:30pm) and 19:00 (7pm). Departure is by 9:30 on the day of departure. The season for pool opening is from mid May to the end of September; Services included and extras: Final cleaning and mid week linen changes are included in the rental amount. Additional daily cleaning can be requested at a cost of €20 for two hours. Two sets of bed and bath linen per week, including a change on Wednesday is included in the villa rental price. All energy costs and utility costs are included in weekly villa rental High chairs and cots are available at an additional cost of €50 per week Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager; Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager; Our holiday villas and apartment accommodation to rent in Italy are serviced by trained English speaking area managers who are there to ensure that your vacation is pleasurable from the very moment of your arrival.

Siena is one of the most beautiful towns of Tuscany and perhaps Italy. Surrounded by olive groves and the vineyards of Chianti the town is set on three hills and is mostly pedenstrian only. At the centre of the town is the large Piazza del Campo, noted for the Palio horse race held each July and August and full of activity year round.
