In the South of the province of Siena, blessed with one the most suggestive landscapes in the world is this beautiful Tuscan villa, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and wheat fields have been cultivated for centuries. Five wineries are based in the nearby village and only in the last few years the whole zone has been discovered as an alternative to the more touristy Chianti region.

DescriptionVilla in Campagna is near the centre of the hamlet of Palazzone. An authentic Tuscan stone house, it was completely restored with great attention to detail in both the restoration itself and the interior décor to offer a superior standard of living. Draperies, paintings and period pieces are perfectly combined in the rustic rooms of the house, reflecting the charm of the original Tuscan country house and the personality of the owners. The villa is surrounded by a beautiful fenced garden with a lot of flowers, bushes and tall trees; in summer time the barbecue and the patio offer a very comfortable outdoor living space. In front of the house is a small annex (about 15 sq.mt) with a room and a bathroom with bath and laundry. Ideally situated in the midst of the Southern Tuscan countryside and yet within walking distance from the nearby hamlet, Villa in Campagna provides a luxurious base from which to explore Tuscany and enjoy a wonderful vacation. The restoration has been carried out with great care, not only in the choice of materials but also in preserving the original features. Even the colour of the rooms are that of a traditional Tuscan villa. Tastefully furnished with central heating, there is also a lift for the disabled to reach both apartments.

This locality
Palazzone is a small characteristic Tuscan village in the hills below San Casciano dei Bagni. A tiny centre with just two cafes, bars, some well stocked general stores, post and some excellent local wine cellars, it has everything one could wish for on a self-catering holiday. The village is practically closed to traffic being a medieval town with very narrow roads. As a result the central piazza is a lively place for locals to meet for a coffee and converse. The local area has sport fields, tennis courts and some lovely country walks. Refundable security depositA refundable security deposit of € 500.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros):- Rental includes maid service twice weekly and final cleaning or change on Saturday;
- One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €12.00 per change per person;
- Late arrival fees. We will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;

- Electricity costs are included in the villa rental price;
- Heating (per week if required) - according to use of gas or electricity.
Other information- The season for pool opening is mid May to the last Saturday in September;
- Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
- Boats and bikes hire, food hampers, cooking and many other services mentioned on our booking form can be pre-arranged and prices will be provided on application.

San Casciano dei Bagni is a lovely small village and thermal spa area in the hills of the Chiana valley. The picturesque village is surrounded by typically tuscan landscape - rolling hills, olive groves and lovely pencil cypress trees. At 580m of altitude the summer climate is most pleasant and the vegetation around the town is rich as a result of the thermal springs (37° - 42°C).> more
