Villa Signore is a recently refurbished stone farmhouse from the 17th century. Located in a lush area of rolling hills just 35km south of Siena it offers peace, space, shady trees, outlooks over forests and fields and very comfortable accommodation. The lower floor is dedicated to daytime living – kitchen, living rooms and dining room whilst upstairs there are four suites each comprising a large corner bedroom, bathroom and large living room with divan bed, corner kitchen and dining table. It is therefore ideal for couples travelling with or without children.

Description Located at the entrance of a small hamlet (2 houses) set in one of the untouched areas of Tuscan countryside, near the enchanting San Galgano Abbey, Villa Signore, set out over three floors has been recently restored into four lovely suites with spacious common areas on the ground floor. Sleeping a total of 16 guests, and also ideal as a luxury accommodation for 8, the villa offers great versatility. At the rear of the villa guests have their own private garden including a swimming pool (16m x 8m) with a separate pergola, a furnished terrace table and chairs for alfresco dining and several areas under large shady trees for a quiet afternoon read or snooze. The entrance on the ground floor opens into a lovely reception hall which in turn opens to a spacious dining/living room with fireplace and a French door leading to the terrace; a kitchen (cooker, oven, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine); a sitting room with television and a stairway leading to the upper level. The upper two floors have two elegant suites each in which the traditional features such as brick ceilings with beams and terracotta floors have been preserved. Each is individually furnished with a pleasant mix of contemporary and antique furniture in typical Tuscan country style. The villa is also well equipped for recreation. At the front of the villa there is a private garden equipped with a volleyball/badminton net. An undercover recreation area houses a pingpong table, a gym stepper, mini-gym and four mountain bikes. The property is conveniently located for visits to Siena (35 kms away) and to explore the magnificent wooded countryside between Chiusdino (8 km), Massa Marittima (30 km) and the Tuscan coast (60 km). The beach in Follonica is only 47 kms away. San Gimignano is 52 kms ,Montalcino 63 and Florence 90 kms. There are numerous villages in the area and many good restaurants, the nearest is at walking distance in Palazzetto (1 km).
Position The villa is located on a quiet gravel country cul-de-sac at the entrance to a small hamlet. The gravel road is virtually unused but passes in front of the Villa. The parking area is adjacent to the villa. Distances - Palazzetto - 1km (restaurant, general store)

This locality
Chiusdino is a medieval village of that sits on top of a hill about 30 km from Siena. Views of Siena and the famous roofless San Galgano abbey can be enjoyed from the village and the surrounding hills are lush and picturesque. Also in the area is the hilltown of Moniciano and many tiny hilltop hamlets to explore.

Special Notes for Villa Signore, Italy Please note that prices given are for a group of 8 guests. For each additional guest there is a weekly supplement payable of €40.00. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions in respect to additional charges and extras applicable to rental villas and apartment accommodation. Refundable security deposit A refundable security deposit of €500 is payable on arrival at the property. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. General Information: - Normal arrival times are between 15:30 (3:30pm) and 19:00 (7pm). Departure is by 9:30 on the day of departure.
- The season for pool opening is from May to September;
- Pets are not allowed
Services included and extras: - Final cleaning costs are included in the villa rental price.
- One set of bed and bath linen per week is included. Additional changes may be requested at the cost of €12 per person. Beach/pool towels are not provided;
- Additional maid service can be requested at a cost of € 15 per hour
- Electricity, gas and utilities costs are included in the villa rent. Gas consumption over 20m3 (when heating is required) is payable on the basis of consumption at €6 per m3 consumed.

- Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
- Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;

Nearby localities
Celle sul Rigo is a panoramic hilltop village in Southern Tuscany with great views over Mount Amiata, Radicofani and the rolling hills towards the Val d'Orcia. You'll not find much tourism at Celle, it is a small, pleasant, characteristic Tuscan village with a friendly local population, a nice selection of bars, trattorias and general stores, and a lively piazza with great views over the Chiana valley. > more
Within a stone's throw to the south of Siena, Sovicille is a wonderful area of gentle hills scattered with patchwork olive groves, vineyards and medieval villages. It is a peaceful area where one can enjoy the peaceful Tuscan country lifestyle whilst having easy access to Siena.
