Villa Vescovo Tuscany - South - Montepulciano

Situated within walking distance of the hill town of Montepulciano, Villa Vescovo is a rare find providing wonderful accommodation in a quiet position surrounded by gardens. The villa comprises two structures built closely together and is ideal for groups of families travelling together. Most of the 7 bedrooms are suites having a small lounge and often a kitchen corner with direct access to the various terraces.

Description

The villa is actually a country house built of ancient stone and its origins date back to medieval times. The seven suites are divided between the two structures: four suites in one and three in the other. The house does not have a central core and all rooms open to the various terraces ensuring maximum privacy. There is not a lounge that can accommodate all14 guests together, however this is made up for in the large glass encased dining and relaxation area with great views over the surrounding countryside and Montepulciano on the hill. The villa is equipped with air-conditioning, wireless internet access and each suite has satellite TV.

Furnished in solid walnut and chestnut furniture that has been skillfully restored, the rooms are spotlessly clean and maintained. Each bathroom incorporates a whirlpool bathtub and has its own unique character incorporating natural stones, Bisazza mosaics and handcrafted porcelain. The old doors in cypress and nut wood have been lovingly restored and the main entrance of walnut and cherry wood dates back to 1700. Every suite and apartment has an exclusive fireplace designed by expert craftsmen with stones and ancient juniper trunks and the chandeliers are made of Murano glass.

A well equipped kitchen adjacent to the dining area is dimensioned to cook for the whole group and on request we can arrange for a local cook to come in and prepare meals (extra). A short walk (50m) leads down through the garden to the swimming pool area which is surrounded by lush lawns and equipped with sunbeds and a shaded pergola. Under the shade of some large trees there is also an outdoor trestle table and barbecue area.

Villa Vescovo lies approximately 500m down a gravel road from a small asphalt road and 1km from the main road. There is a parking area for up to 5 cars.

Refundable security deposit

A refundable security deposit of €1,000 is payable on arrival at the villa. The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras.

Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros):

• Final cleaning costs are included in the villa rental amount. Additional mid week cleaning may be requested but will be charged as an extra;
• One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €12.00 per change per person;
• Utilities costs (except heating) are included in the villa rental price;
• Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;

• The season for pool opening is - May to September;
• Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
• Boats and bikes hire, food hampers, cooking and many other services mentioned on our booking form can be pre-arranged and prices will be provided on application.
