Casale Ostilia is set in a wonderful panoramic site overlooking the rich Tuscan countryside, with direct views over the exclusive spa and medieval town of San Casciano dei Bagni, and Mount Amiata and Radicofani in the distance. Notwithstanding its close proximity to town (2.5km), the villa is private and secluded, being set on 2.5 acres of gently sloping land and surrounded by forest. It features a panoramic swimming pool, expansive entertainment areas and a pergola for alfresco dining.

DescriptionCasale Ostilia is a typical Tuscan stone farmhouse. It has been recently restored and refurbished with all modern facilities, whilst authentic materials have been used to create beamed ceilings, stone arches and terracotta floors. The inviting interiors are furnished with country style antique family pieces, mixed with some newer and elegant items. The outdoors are just magnificent: the gardens are very well landscaped and maintained. A majestic mulberry tree dominates the front of the house, where a gazebo is furnished for outdoor meals. The free shaped swimming pool, bordered by lavender and rose bushes, is set on the belvedere terrace and is equipped with Jacuzzi, a gazebo and plenty of lounging furniture. The villa is perfectly suited for year round accommodation having large entertainment spaces, well dimensioned accommodation and its setting near the thermal spa town of San Casciano.
Position Casale Ostilia is set up 4 km of gravel road in excellent condition that parts from the town of San Casciano dei Bagni, or 2 km on a more direct, but less well maintained track (ok for normal cars) Distances: - San Casciano dei Bagni - 2km (shops, bank, pharmacy, post office, restaurants, spas, tennis court)

- Fabro - 20 km ( both towns at A1 Motorway exit)

This locality
San Casciano dei Bagni is a lovely small village and thermal spa area in the hills of the Chiana valley. The picturesque village is surrounded by typically tuscan landscape - rolling hills, olive groves and lovely pencil cypress trees. At 580m of altitude the summer climate is most pleasant and the vegetation around the town is rich as a result of the thermal springs (37° - 42°C).> more

Refundable security deposit A refundable security deposit of € 500.00 is payable on arrival at the villa (can be in equivalent $US or £GBP). The deposit will be refunded on final inspection excepting in the event of damage or for the deduction of extras. Additional services and charges - payable locally on arrival (in Euros): - One set of bed and bath linen per week is included in the rental cost. Additional changes can be requested and will be charged at €10.00 per change per person;
- Late arrival fees - we will endeavour to accommodate, but cannot guarantee to satisfy requests for late arrival. The cost of pre-arranged late arrival (if available) will be advised at the time of booking. Unforeseen delays resulting in out of hours arrivals (if available) will incur a charge of € 50.00 payable to the local manager;
- Utilities including electricity, water and cooking gas are included in villa rental
- Heating will be charged according to the consumption of gas at €4.80 per cubic metre
Other information - The season for pool opening is from mid May to the end of September;
- Baby sitting services can usually be organised locally by the area manager;
- Boats and bikes hire, food hampers, cooking and many other services mentioned on our booking form can be pre-arranged and prices will be provided on application.

Celle sul Rigo is a panoramic hilltop village in Southern Tuscany with great views over Mount Amiata, Radicofani and the rolling hills towards the Val d'Orcia. You'll not find much tourism at Celle, it is a small, pleasant, characteristic Tuscan village with a friendly local population, a nice selection of bars, trattorias and general stores, and a lively piazza with great views over the Chiana valley. > more
